For Honor is a riveting action-packed video game that throws players into the heart of medieval warfare. It's a world where knights clash with samurai and vikings, offering an exhilarating mix of strategic combat and fast-paced action.

Players get to choose from a diverse range of warriors, each representing different factions and wielding unique weapons and fighting styles. Whether you fancy the precision of a samurai's katana, the brute strength of a viking's axe, or the stalwart defense of a knight's sword and shield, there's a fighter to suit every preference.

The game boasts various modes, including an engaging single-player campaign that dives deep into faction conflicts, as well as multiplayer modes where players can test their mettle against friends and foes alike. Whether you're engaging in intense one-on-one duels or coordinating with teammates to achieve objectives, every battle in For Honor demands skill, quick reflexes, and tactical thinking.

With its immersive combat mechanics, stunning visuals, and richly crafted world, For Honor promises an unmatched gaming experience for enthusiasts of medieval warfare and adrenaline-fueled action. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or a newcomer to the battlefield, get ready to step into a realm where honor is prized above all else, and triumph is earned through grit and determination.

If you love fast paced melee PvP then For Honor is absolutely a game you should check out. This game really stands out for how unique its combat system is, you won't find any other games like it. For Honor takes a while to get the hang of, I'm talking 10+ hours before you feel like your getting any good. There are a ton of features you need to learn and you'll need god like reflexes.

I've played over 200 hours of this game and I still don't feel like I've got the level of skill I'd expect after that much playtime. My friends and I all tried out this game at the same time but they all quit over time after fidning the game far too doficult and rage Inducing. My point is this is a really difficult game and if you're looking for a casual experience this may not be for you. There is a PvE mode if you want to fight easy enemies but you won't be getting the entire experience without trying out PvP. If you do hop in PvP there are plenty of different game modes to have a look at including 1v1, 2v2, castle defense and zone capture. You can also setup friendly battles with your friends if you have enough players.

Unfortunately this game has seen a significant reduction in playerbase since its release back in 2014 with around 5 thousand active players at a time. Unfortunately because of this only the most popular game modes are still actively being played which limits the amount of content you can properly play in the game. For Honor is far out of its prime but it's still held up by its dedicated community.

To wrap up this review I'll include a list of my positives and negatives.

Positives:

  • Completely unique combat system

  • Skill based PvP

  • Good map and game mode variety

  • Large pool of heros to play with

  • Lots of cosmetics to unlock and great customisation

  • Graphics still hold up 10 years later

  • Still recieving new heros and content updates

  • Few cheaters

  • No pay to win

Negatives:

  • High skill gap

  • Extremely toxic community

  • Multiple dead game modes

  • Boring and repetitive campaign

  • Some balancing issues

Overall I'd definitely recommend you give this game a try as the positives here outweigh all the negativea, once you get into For Honor it's some of the best fun you'll have playing a video game and getting good is extremely satisfying.
