Hell Divers 2 is a third person cooperative shooter game set in a far future where players take on the role of elite soldiers known as Hell Divers. Tasked with defending humanity against alien threats, players embark on procedurally generated missions across hostile planets. The game emphasizes teamwork and strategy as players coordinate their actions to complete objectives, such as securing locations, retrieving valuable resources, and eliminating enemy forces.

With a wide array of weapons, equipment, and upgrades to unlock, players can customize their Hell Diver to suit their playstyle. Hell Divers 2 features intense action, challenging gameplay, and dynamic environments that keep players on their toes. Whether playing solo or with friends, the game offers thrilling cooperative gameplay and endless replayability.

Helldivers 2 must be the biggest hit game of early 2024. So far, I have had a very good experience playing this game, I haven’t been bored once in my 30 hours of play time. The gameplay loop of this game is you drop into a mission with 3 other people, you complete the objective, use stratagems to call in explosives missiles and weapons, there are also samples which can be found hidden throughout the missions. At the end of the mission, you get slips based on your completion and the samples you collected. The slips can be spent on new stratagems and the samples on making the stratagems more powerful.

I do enjoy this gameplay loop as there are many different mission types, even after doing them all they don’t always feel the same, as there are many planets all with random terrain and I never really got bored. A part that I found that I really enjoyed was the almost cinematic graphics, especially the explosions. I also enjoy the gun play, with many unique weapons to use, but be careful not to team kill you only have 20 respawns, and trust me you will need them, especially on the harder difficulties.
