Starfield is an upcoming open-world role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios. Set in space, it promises to deliver a vast and immersive experience, allowing players to explore the depths of the cosmos and chart their own course among the stars. With Bethesda's reputation for expansive worlds and rich storytelling, Starfield is highly anticipated by fans of the RPG genre. While details about the game are still limited, it's expected to feature a combination of exploration, character customization, and narrative-driven gameplay, all set within a captivating sci-fi universe. As Bethesda's first original RPG in over a decade, Starfield has generated significant buzz and excitement, with players eagerly anticipating the chance to embark on an epic journey through the cosmos.
Starfield, Bethesda's perfect child. They loved it so much that they forgot to get it vaccinated, sent to school to learn, and to socialise with others so it's not an awkward baby. This is a metaphor for that they forgot how to make a game because they were so focused on what a game could be. If you like reading loading screens, 10/10, perfect for you. The graphics require a NASA computer for it to not look like mobile fortnite. Crashing can really interrupt your mood and stop you playing for weeks because there really isn't many hooks to the game - why? - because there is just so much. They really nailed the space vibe, everything is literally so far away from each other. Building a base which is something I looked forward to, used an old building manager from Fallout which was disappointing, and there wasn't much need to. There were limits on how large you could build.
If I could've built a new capital on the planet and made my own faction, then I wouldn't have stopped playing, but with amateur graphics, crashes, hours of loading screens, funky gameplay, unlimited fetch quests, massive scale making everything just a grind to get to, cool ships though. Starfield had so much opportunity, and THE WORST PART OF IT ALL IS THE SOUNDTRACK. I COULDVE MADE A BETTER SOUNDTRACK WITH A HIGH SCHOOL BAND RATHER THAN THIS OLD BALD GUY WHO USED THE SAME MELODY IN EVERY PIECE WITH THE SAME INSTRUMENTS. The work from Jeremy Soule should've been used. I don't mind it being a bit of a failure if it means TESVI isn't, please Todd, hear our cries.
